This one is still in post. I cut a trailer and the note from the distributor was to make sure the sci-fi is coming through, ie. more VFX. I’m a little stuck on this one at the moment, but working on it. It was a 7-day shoot, the shortest yet. And probably too short. We did 2 days for Week 1 and 5 days for Week 2, which is not as balanced as it could have been but mostly worked. As the edit is not complete, there is a lot of promise for this one, despite the lack of footage. It requires more VFX than the last one and maybe even more than Abduction, which seems daunting and makes me want to write a book instead or wash dishes or watch TV. It was a fun shoot in a lot of ways. My wife once again was understanding and patient. I disassembled our bedframe to bring the bed into the living room to make a hospital room set. We also shot at a community college and got a proper lecture classroom, hallways, exterior quad setting and other stuff, which was impossible to find on the location rental apps. This was shot 3 months after Overkill and is the last of the production model so far. I’m not sure there is budget for it or interest on the distributor side. As with most everything, we shall see.
